And baby makes three! Chapter Three: Tommy tales

Squirmy worm too
It's me
Tommy G,
baby, that's who!
Cutie pie
Cuddles any time
Day, night
Outta' sight
Rain or sun shine.
Change my bum
Wiggling free!
Cold air
Under there
Watch out! I pee!
Let's race
Make a face
Now let's count sheep.
Big sighs
Cross my eyes
Falling asleep
Sing me a tune
Wake up real soon!
Bug in rug here!
I'm stuck
Rubaduck,
is the coast clear?

Chapter Two...3 months later
Omelette's with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, avacado, salt and pepper....YUM! French toast with cinnamon, vanilla, powdered sugar, syrup, whipped cream, topped with sliced bananas and blueberries...DOUBLE YUM!!
Sunday mornings are just so nice.
We go for a walk, three quarters of a mile to the church house, and say hello to neighbors. We smell the blossoms in the trees and comment on the nicely manicured lawns. We agree that other lawns are very poorly manicured and we wonder who lives there. Then my eyes tear up...nothing serious...just a very bright sun that's melting my makeup. We laugh about it and I say I should have brought sunglasses.
"Oh brother," I dab at the tears with the back of my hand, "how's my makeup?"
"Not so good." he admits. "There's a big black smudge on your cheek."
"How about now?"
"Still there." He licks his finger and rubs it off. "Got!"
We say that a lot. My colleagues from China never say "Got it!" Instead they always say "Got!" Sometimes they'll even write it in emails "GOT!" That's the best! So much energy! Incase you were wondering if they got it, wonder no more. They GOT!
Sometimes it rains while we walk. I have an umbrella. We love the rain.
Three months married and we still cannot get enough of each other. Every week day at work we stare at the clock wondering when it will finally be time to go home. We pack weekends full of anything and everything together from early morning tennis, garage sales, house cleaning, pruning the rose bush, baptisms, to movies and parties at night.
We are very happy and so grateful to all of you who supported us during our wedding! Thank you!
Chapter two is even better than chapter one! We wonder what we ever did to deserve starring roles in this saga! Life could not be better.

Seven days!!!
Of course I have a cart completely full of breakfast foods and I begin loading it onto the conveyor belt. Up walks two young men and the first thing I notice are grass stains on his shorts. I look up and see him. Wow those eyes! I keep loading the conveyor belt as if he didn't faze me. He did though. I finish loading the items and walk over to the counter. How could I leave it at that?? What have I got to lose? Everything and nothing! So I throw a glance over to him and intentionally hold his gaze for a moment. Nonchallantly I begin to look away in order to open my purse.
"That's quite a lot of breakfast food you have there!" He chimes in.
That's all I needed. He is interested! My soul smiles satisfied.
We begin chatting about happy things like breakfast, dancing, where I live, ultimate frisbee and then he asks, "Do you come down here often?"
No. Never. Ha! But I would if... "Depends on what's going on?" I solicit.
"Well, we play ultimate frisbee every Wednesday night. You should come!"
"Oh cool! I'd love to. Let me give you my email and you can let me know all the details..." Was that too eager?
"Oh just give me your phone number!" Phew, I was fine.
"yeah of course!"
We completely stall the line, mesmerized by each other's charm. By now Macey's has faded into oblivion and all I can see or hear is him.
We exchange numbers, the dream fades and the bustle of Macey's customers come back to life. I walk to my car. *Sigh* Thus ends chapter one, day one, of the emily-n-adam sagas.
